Copernic Agent is a new product line replacing the former search tool
known as Copernic 2000/2001 with a completely new architecture and
interface. It offers three desktop products that find exactly what
you are looking for by simultaneously consulting targeted search
engines and information sources on the Web. With Copernic Agent, your
searches will be easier, faster and more efficient than ever. This
state-of-the-art search agent features categories to target
appropriate search engines. It eliminates duplicate results, verifies
and removes broken links, highlights keywords in result lists and Web
pages, saves pages for offline browsing and finds keywords in results
or Web pages with Boolean queries. Among other things, a quick search
bar and the integrated Favorites menu will save you a substantial
amount of time. Copernic Agent keeps a detailed search history with
custom folders and sub-folders so that you may view and manage
results at your convenience and update searches later to find new
results effortlessly. Among its many hot features, this software
offers several ways to customize menus, toolbars, search lists,
search operations and options. It also features automatic software
and engine updating, and allows you to access technical support on
the Copernic Web site and even send suggestions to improve the
product. Copernic Agent offers extensions for Windows and software,
especially for Internet Explorer, which integrates many new browsing
tools. The most useful extension in this browser is a multi-function
toolbar that allows you to trace keywords in Web pages using a
highlighting function and scrolling buttons, create new searches, set
page change tracking and so on. The free Copernic Agent Basic
features 9 predefined search categories, providing access to some 80
major information sources. The commercial versions, Copernic Agent
Personal and Copernic Agent Professional, offer some 125 categories,
giving you access to more than 1200 search engines. Over the free
version functionalities, they feature keyword spell-checking and
enable you to filter results and group them in various ways. They
also allow you to create custom and favorite search categories and
add available categories. Moreover, Copernic Agent Personal can
automate removing of broken links while Copernic Agent Professional
can perform various other automated tasks such as downloading pages
and refining results. Copernic Agent Professional can also abstract
key concepts from Web pages, detect duplicate pages with
non-identical addresses and summarize Web page text contents for
found results. Also, this product includes a powerful tracking
function which automatically tracks page changes and updates specific
searches, including e-mail tracking reports.
