│ A snapshot is a directory listing which Snapper creates (and lets │
│ you save) which can be used to compare with aother such snapshot. │
│ Snapper quickly shows you the differences between two snapshots by │
│ comparing file sizes, timestamps and flags. With Snapper you are │
│ not limited to comparing just snapshots of the same drive and │
│ directory because all paths are considered 'relative' not │
│ 'absolute'. │

│ Similar utilities exist (I tried dozens before giving up and writing │
│ my own), but Snapper concentrates on doing one basic task - │
│ presenting you with a list of differences between two directory │
│ snapshots, in a format that you can use and understand. │

│ Almost anyone with a PC could find some use for Snapper, │
│ applications for this utility are wide, though it often is the │
│ professional IT developer that finds it most useful in their work:- │
