InterBase Backup Watcher allows to make backup copies automatically, from
any computer which connected to the local net and can connect to the
database. This program is launched at turning on the computer and finishes
its work when the user turns off the computer. This program works using
profiles, which contain the information about the time of beginning of
the backup, database location, archives location and backup process
characteristics. This gives an opportunity to restore the information,
which was lost because of the userÆs wrong actions or machine failure,
namely:
- breakdown of the computer, on which the database is kept, which caused
its full loss.
- stealing of the computer, on which the database is kept.
- actions of the user (who works with the computer, on which the database
is kept), which caused full or partial data loss.
The program has the built û in profile creation Wizard, which makes it
possible not only to carry out "manual" backup but also to adjust the
scheduler so that the program would automatically carry out the backup.
This will save your time by doing systematical operations with a lot of
databases. According to the statistics, a person needs about 15% - 30% of
the working hours to carry out the backup manually. Now InterBase Backup
will do this for you. Now you only need to adjust the scheduler and do
your other important business.
