The aim of QuikMind is to solve a puzzle consisting ofcolored pegs. In the
beginning, the computer generatesa puzzle with random colors (hidden from
the player).The player then has upto 12 turns to try and guess thosecolors,
matching both the color and the position of thepeg within the puzzle. After
making a new guess, the playerhits the check button, and the computer
displays hintsbased on the player''s current guess. A black hint meansthat
one of the pegs in the player''s guess has both thecorrect color and the
correct place. A white hint meansthat a peg''s color is correct (i.e. that
color is used inthe puzzle) but its place is wrong. Based on those
hints,the player then makes a new guess. The game goes on likethis, until
the puzzle is solved or until the 12th guessis made, after which the game
is over.
You have two choices to set the colors for your answer. Youcan either tap
and select a color within the row of colorsat the top right of the screen,
or you can tap repeatedlyon any one of the current row of answer pegs to
cycle throughavailable colors for that slot.
In the preferences menu, you can change all of the game settings. The
options include changing game level, using a countdown timer, allowing
duplicate colors, carrying over the last answer to th next row, and saving
game status on program exit.
