Observe the previous attempt(s) at a crack:
10-30-2005 Obscura.The.Shadow.Blade.v1.0-DVT
They have failed to create a fully working executable, since the file
will crash at launch under Windows 98, 98SE, & ME. It may also fail to
run under future editions of MS Windows and even in other varied
circumstances on any editions of Windows.
And this particular one also crashes on Windows 2000.

READ NFO:
Not only is the DVT crack bad, but NO ONE at all was able to play the
game. Even the trial mode would lock on launch on ANY OS. And why you
ask? The DVT release contains corrupt data in the SETUP file.
Again, Quality or Quantity? Which matters to you?
Also, I ran into a game bug. The game kept changing resolutions when I
clicked to start it. Then I was back at the desktop. The game was still
running and showed up in the taskbar. But when I clicked it in the
taskbar, it just keep trying to change resolutions a bunch of times,
and then it went back to the desktop again. It is a game bug, which also
happens on the original EXE file.
After writing the above, I discovered that the game has a big problem if
you have X-Mouse enabled (such as in TweakUI from MS PowerToys). X-Mouse
fucking rules of course, and I can not live without it. So, you can edit
CONFIG.INI in your game directory to set FullScreen Mode to false, as
shown below:
FullScreen=FALSE
It worked for me. Also, you could try matching the width & height in the
CONFIG.INI to your own desktop width/height, if you want the game to
appear as if it is full screen (even tho it is technically still running
in a window). Plus you still get to keep your awesome X-Mouse enabled.

PS: You must reach the boss at the end of a level, or complete a level
for the game to save your progress.

1. UnZIP all archives to a temporary directory.
2. UnRAR all archives to a temporary directory.
Always unRAR with full paths!
3. Install the program by executing:
SETUP.EXE from the SETUP\ directory.
4. Copy the contents of the CRACK\ directory to your Installed directory,
overwriting any existing files.
5. Run the program. If enjoyment is experienced, then buy the program!
