JSSoftware introduces CLine2K, a small, unobtrusive graphical command line
for Windows 95/98. CLine2K acts in many ways like the DOS command prompt,
allowing the user to manipulate and navigate through the files and
directories on their computer, while taking advantage of some of what
Windows has to offer. People who use Windows 95/98 but miss the DOS style
navigation will find CLine2K a must have utility.
- Execute commands and files from a graphical command prompt.
- Understands file association which allows the user to simply type the
name of the file (including extension) and CLine2K will execute the
appropriate application to view your file (just like double clicking on a
text file's icon, which might launch notepad or word pad to view that text
file).
- Understands WWW addresses and will automatically launch your web browser
and go to the specified site.
- The directory window (the window that shows the files and directories)
supports copy/paste (to copy and paste files) with the Windows Explorer
(A nice example of this functionality could be: getting a directory of
only text files in the directory (dir *.txt), then selecting only a couple
of the text files for copy).
- Allows wild cards (* and ?) when trying to Copy/Move/Delete/Rename files
and directories.
- CLine2K attempts to be unobtrusive to your valuable desktop space by
allowing the user to choose how visible it is. Depending on your choice,
CLine2K can be the topmost window (always visible), allowed to be covered
by other windows (only to be quickly retrieved later through use of a
custom hot key), or can be hidden altogether until its' tray icon is
clicked.
- Allows multiple instances.
- Stores a history of the last fifty commands entered for quick retrieval.
- Informative help that explains every command and parameter and how to use
them.
- And much, much more. The Internet would crash if all of CLine2K's
