NOTE: You may have seen a lame TECHNIC rip of this game yesterday, and even
though the scene shouldnt even consider TECHNIC a real release group
we decided to label this a PROPER so people know TECHNIC's rip was bad
(why are we not surprised?)
The reasons why TECHNIC's rip is bad are numerous, and so are the
reasons why TECHNIC should be scene banned as well. Commence the list:
-Technic's rip has been nuked for a bad install on sites. This needs
explanation. This is a nasty game which installs many files outside
of the game's own folder and registry. It puts files into your
Windows folder and when games do that its easy to miss. TECHNIC,
being amateurs, naturally missed this so their rip doesnt work.
*Nuke TECHNICs rip for NON-WORKING*
-Technic uses stolen class tools for all of their rips, just check
when they are unpacking sounds, u will see it blatantly says
"Class/Backlash" in the wave tool as it unpacks. What careless thieves.
This should automatically get every single TECHNIC rip nuked, even if
they didnt steal the crack (rare) since they still used stolen tools.
*Nuke TECHNICs rip for STOLEN TOOLS*
-Technic removed hires/lowres textures from this game, and movies,
when the rip rules state to leave as much game data in a rip as can
fit in the limit. We ripped only Movies and Hires and still fit the
game within the limit. Technic rushed their rip out without trying.
*Nuke TECHNICs rip for RIP RULES VIOLATION*
-Technic steals cracks from other groups non-stop and they think that
if they do it enough sites just wont care and wont nuke them anymore
for it -- WRONG! If u cant crack a game, dont bother to steal a crack
to release it. This particular game doesnt use protection, but the
previous reasons are plenty to nuke TECHNIC's rip if your sites even
got it in the first place. We have trouble finding a site which has
a TECHNIC release on it when we want to examine their releases, this
is probably a good sign ;)

Cuba, 1962. The United States have increased their intelligence
activity in Cuba, due to which the Soviet and Cuban
counterintelligence started exposing more American spies and
saboteurs. The American U-2 planes carried out continuous photo
reconnaissance of the Cuban territory, and the data supplied by
there hi-altitude recon planes, was truly invaluable for the
Executive Committee of the US National Security Council. So a
decision was taken - should the Cubans shoot down at least one U-2
aircraft the island would be bombed immediately.
The situation got so aggravated, that even a very small military
conflict could lead to immediate full-scale war with use of
nuclear weapons...
On October 27, 1962 the first squadron of the missile regiment
under command of Lt-Col Yu.A. Solovyov shot down a USAF U-2 recon
plane piloted by Major R. Anderson ...
The world was on the verge of self-destruction.
Cuba has turned into a radioactive island. Moscow, Leningrad,
Sverdlovsk as well as other large USSr cities and military bases
were hit by the USA. The Soviets returned nuclear strikes against
Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Western Europe, US military
bases in Turkey, Italy, and Germany. Great Britain nuked the
countries of the Warsaw Pact.
The world map was covered with radioactive pocks, former supercities
were on fire, winds spread nuclear clouds all over the world.
Horrified by its own madness the world understood that "clean" land
and water were the most valuable resources required for the
survival of the remaining population. The second phase of the
Third World War has begun - the war with conventional means for
"clean" resources, the war for survival...
The Day After is a war simulator with turn-based operation planning
mode and tactical battles in real-time, fashioned in the style of
alternative history with use of actual weaponry of 1960ies.
Features:
-Alternative history, caused by the nuclear catastrophe, that
happened as a result of the military solution of the 1962
Caribbean Crisis.
-Turn-based operation planning mode (TBS) and real-time tactics
(RTS) of "Blitzkrieg" mould in one game.
-Dozens of scenario missions in 4 military campaigns for the USSR,
Franco-German Alliance, China, and UK-US Alliance.
-New ordnance types: helicopter, missile forces, recon and sabotage
squads
-Contaminated areas affecting the availability of ordnance and the
combat ability of manpower.
Ripped: Movies (intro/outro/logos), Hires textures (dont expect an addon)
NOTE: We really tried to remove low/compressed textures and keep hires but
they take 250mb alone packed. However, in the game it says for hi-res
textures that they recommend 32mb+ card, and for compressed textures
they recommend a GeForce 256+, now that could mean the compressed
textures are actually the highest quality, and they are included here.

1) UnZIP & UnRAR (WinRAR 3.0+)
2) Run Setup.bat (This will take time, and dont stop the process because
even if it looks like its not doing anything, it is)
3) Unpack DLLs.rar (found in Disk 1) to your Windows root folder
3) Play the game with Game.exe!
