Smart Mask Extractor is keying tool that uses empty scene frame to key
persons or objects out of it. It calculates mask by differencing between
empty and action scene frames, so you can automate work when you have to
"cut" that objects manually. This method requires one still camera frame and
enables extract masks of objects against non-uniform (not very solid
blue-green and so) background. Sure, your background must be still
(not animated) and must differ by color from moving objects.
This program makes no miracles, it contains concrete mathematics formulas,
but in certain cases in hands of experiensed vfx operator it can be very
useful tool. Presented algorithm very depends on keeping camera point fixed.
But when your video material has enough quality this program gives you
impressive results.
