1 Metaframe requires win2k server or better with terminal services running
2 When installing Terminal Services, you not only have to "enable" it
but you need to check off application mode
3.You should install it in IMA mode only, not as the other
compatibility mode (used for upgrading purposes)
To insall metaframe, you will need cd6 since thats where ica clients are handy also
(it will prompt to points to the ini file)
As you get prompted for serial refer to later part of this file. It will
also ask for the (optional) product code, so enter: 0D00-06A7 for all servers
in your farm. For everything else refer to docs/this file and your head
The license generator is able to create serial numbers and license
activation codes for Citrix MetaFrame XPe 1.0 and perhaps even newer
versions. It doesn't have any fancy GUI, so you'll need to open a
command prompt before using it.
Running the program without arguments will display a usage description:

License generation

The /G switch will run the program in a license generation mode. It
needs a single decimal number as an argument, the Customer Id. This
can be any number you like. Citrix assigns a unique id for each
customer they issue license for. Since the keymaker will generate
quite a few serial numbers, it is recommended that the output is
written to a file, like this (serial numbers will be stored in
"sn.txt"):

Enter the MetaFrame XPe 1.0 S/N during installation (you can do it
later as well, through the Citrix Management Console). It will enable
XPe mode for an unlimited amount of servers. Use 0D00-06A7 as the
product code for all servers in the farm. Enter the MetaFrame
Connection License S/N through the Citrix Management Console. It will
add an unlimited amount of connection licenses for the farm.
For all other Citrix features the program generates serial numbers
for, multiple serial numbers will be created (256 each). The reason is
that these serial numbers can only be assigned to one server each,
which means that if you have more than one server, you'll have to
enter as many serial numbers (if you have four servers, pick four
different serial numbers from the list).
Just don't ask exactly what all these license do, especially the
reserved option packs, because we don't know (yet). Try them out
if you want, it's won't break any functionality and licenses can
be removed whenever you want to.
License Activation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The /A switch will run the program in a license activation mode. It
needs a single license number as an argument. The license number
should be copied from the Citrix Management Console (right click on a
license, click Activate). It will then generate an activation code,
which should be entered in CMC's activation dialog. If you don't
activate a license, it will be disabled after a grace period of 34
days.
Little note: when you going to authorize paste the serial from management
console and not the serial that you have entered(it changes, and the one
in management console will give you valid activation key(other will error)
