Ce logiciel de genealogie est base sur une base de donnee Interbase ce
qui lui garanti une certaine reserve de puissance dans la gestion de
lourdes bases.
Ancestrologie support l'import/export au format GEDCOM, la reference
dans le monde de la genealogie. Un controle de coherence est effectue
au niveau des dates mais bizarrement pas au niveau des parentes, il est
ainsi possible de placer un individu comme etant a la fois le pere et
le fils d'un autre...
