Elasto Mania is a motorbike simulation game based on a real physical
model.
Elastomania is a very unique game that can take a while to get the hang
of, but perseverence is more than worth it because the result is a
fantastically fun game that will keep you entertained for ages!
The objective in Elastomania is to control a motorbike rider over a
variety of complex terrains in an attempt to collect all the pickups
and make it to the finish line without crashing or running out of time.
A simple enough premise. But what sets Elastomania apart is the
underlying physics of the game. Accelerate too fast, and your front
wheel will begin to lift off the ground. Similarly breaking too fast
will see the rider going head first over the handlebars! So the game
becomes a trial of skill and timing as you attempt to keep control of
the bike as you work your way through the level.
Just like in real motorcross, the bike and rider are seperate entities
which makes it possible to alter the angle of the bike by quickly
shifting the rider back and forth. This quickly becomes an integral
part of the strategy as the landscapes become more and more demanding
with steep hills, jumps, loops, bowls, and even areas of anti-gravity
pushing your skill to the limit.
With a built in level editor, and a huge fan base, there are literally
thousands of levels available for the game. Some are obviously better
than others, but with so many to choose from, and a constant supply of
new ones, this is one game that should keep you coming back for years.
Arcade/Driving game fans would be crazy not to give Elastomania a try!
