█ █
█ The new Powergold 2000 is a product of Micropower Corporation. We are █
█ dedicated to producing the best broadcast scheduling software in the █
█ world. That's our company's sole focus. We've been serving the █
█ broadcast industry with music scheduling software for 12 years. Our █
█ clients include major broadcasters such as AMFM, Clear Channel, █
█ Jacor, ABC Radio Networks, Radio TV Hong Kong, and hundreds of █
█ others. █
█ █
█ Powergold 2000 is an intelligent and powerful 32-bit software █
█ application that automatically creates daily audio schedules. It may █
█ be used at any facility that broadcasts music, such as radio █
█ stations, cable music channels, or internet radio stations. █
█ █
█ Songs are scheduled properly with built-in and user-defined rules. █
█ Yesterday Offset, for example, makes sure no song plays too close to █
█ the time it played yesterday. Among many other things, Powergold 2000 █
█ enables you to categorize songs and control how frequently each song █
█ will be scheduled. █
█ █
█ Easy connectivity with traffic and digital audio systems is part of █
█ the package. Along with scheduling the music, tempo-matched jingles, █
█ voice tracks, and automation commands in Powergold 2000, we can also █
█ import commercial schedules from your traffic and billing system, at █
█ no extra cost, to provide a complete schedule of all audio events at █
█ your broadcast facility. We work as a terrific front end for all █
█ digital audio players that interface with professional music █
█ scheduling software. █
█ █
█ Powergold 2000 software has been in rigorous, reliable, daily use at █
█ hundreds of broadcast facilities for the past two years, successfully █
█ meeting widely differing programming needs worldwide. We accept no █
█ bugs at all, so you are assured a perfect work experience with █
█ Powergold 2000. We never stop developing ways to make your life █
█ easier. This is our life's work and passion. █
█ █
█ Version 5.02 █
█ █
█ NEW - Added Automatic Log Reconciliation with a number of automation █
█ systems including Dalet, DCS, Prophet Systems, RadioMax and Scott █
█ Studios. Many more will be added soon. Reconciliation modifies █
█ Powergold 2000's history file to reflect what was actually played as █
█ reported through the automation system's "As Aired" log. This makes █
█ your rules more accurate and your reports more accurate with ease. █
█ Let us know if you'd like your system added. Go to View | Reconcile █
█ to setup automatic log reconciliation. █
█ █
█ NEW - A Delete Hour function has been added to the right click menu █
█ in the Schedule Editor. █
█ █
█ NEW - A Modification Log has been added to the Schedule Editor right █
█ click menu. M is the short cut key. This is a communication tool that █
█ lets each person initial each hour of the log in which editing is █
█ completed. Other notes can be added so that other people can see the █
█ editing state of each hour of the day. █
█ █
█ NEW - Added the Company Name to the title line at the top of Quick █
█ Reports from the Music Library. █
█ █
█ NEW - Added a Purge button to the Chart Manager (Spin Reports). This █
█ makes it easy to mass delete many days of old charts out of your █
█ database. This of course can result in smaller, faster backups. █
█ █
█ NEW - Modified the Command Scheduler so multiple commands can be █
█ inserted in one shot. █
█ █
█ NEW - Added Natural Log to our list of traffic systems that we █
█ import. Importing traffic not only lets Powergold 2000 schedule █
█ around your actual commercial load, it also lets you optionally █
█ provide one complete event log of all audio events to your digital █
█ audio system. █
█ █
█ NEW - Added ability to select different Paper Size for all of your █
█ printed reports, if you have a printer that supports sizes other than █
█ Letter. Go to View | Settings | Printing to set the Paper Size. The █
█ default is Letter. █
█ █
█ MODIFIED - In the New Song Wizard, Daypart pull down added a blank as █
█ the first item. Previously if you chose a Daypart there was no way to █
█ change it back to no Daypart without canceling. █
█ █
█ Modified the Rename function. This is really cool and is a huge time █
█ saver if you import a database with many artist typos. Now you can █
█ make ALL needed changes to the Artist Separation Lists and the Artist █
█ Display Text in one shot all from the Artist Editor. It's like the █
█ Mass Changer, only easier. Here's the new logic. █
█ █
█ If you are renaming to an artist name that doesn't already exist, it █
█ will not only rename the artist in the artist database, it will also █
█ change the Artist Display Text on all songs that were spelled the old █
█ way, if any, to the new artist spelling. █
█ █
█ If you rename an artist to an existing artist name, it changes the █
█ Artist Separation List on all songs that had the original artist, █
█ removing the old one where found and adding the new one, then it █
█ deletes the original artist from the artist db, then changes the █
█ Artist Display Text on all songs that were spelled the old way, if █
█ any, to the new spelling. █
█ █
█ FIXES - Fixed bug in the Music Library where the J (Jump) key would █
█ not work after sorting by a column due to focus not returning to the █
█ list of songs after a sort. Fixed a problem if you go into the Music █
█ Library and hit T or A right away also due to focus not beginning on █
█ the list of songs. Fixed inability to scroll through Song Lists with █
█ the keyboard. █
█ In the Clock Editor fixed an Access Violation that could happen if █
█ you if you drag a few positions up and down then hit the Backups █
█ button. Fixed a bug with the Scheduler and Print. If you modified a █
█ schedule and then printed it without saving it, refreshing it, or an █
█ auto-save, the changes to the schedule would not appear in the █
█ printed log. █
█ █
█ Fixed bug with Inserting in the Scheduler Editor. Under the right █
█ circumstances it would give a string list duplicate error and then a █
█ series of "Modify Play Error 613" error messages. █
█ █
█ Fixed an Access Violation that would happen if you use Hard Disk █
█ Location in your automation setup (like WinAmp for example) and you █
█ have a Command with no Hard Disk Location. █

█ █
█ The protection in v5.02 has been changed a bit. And I mean 'a bit' █
█ :) █
█ █
█ So begins the most complicated part... █
█ █
█ This program uses VERY MANY places inside your puter to hide some █
█ info. This leads, for example, that if it's expired it won't accept █
█ even correct registration information, telling you it's expired and █
█ that you need to contact the author. The places used by Powergold █
█ 2000 for tracing previous usage / detecting if it was already █
█ installed on the computer earlier are: █
█ - 4 registry keys under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT █
█ - 2 dummy files in your system directory █
█ - Several bytes added to one of Windows files. █
█ █
█ The keymaker will take care of restoring your system virginity in the █
█ eyes of Powergold ;) █
█ Okay, please follow the steps below exactly: █
█ 1. Run the keymaked, select 'Clean up' and press 'Do It' █
█ 2. Start Powergold, select 'Reg. number' in the keymaker and generate █
█ your registration number using System ID provided by Powergold █
█ 3. Licensing Data Directories. █
█ - Enter your company name in the program █
█ - Enter License term (number of days to prolong your license for. █
█ Must be less than 30000 █
█ - Press TAB key ONCE █
█ - Now switch to the keymaker, select 'Renewal number' and TYPE in the █
█ number from 'Read this number' field. DO NOT USE Clipboard █
█ operations. You must TYPE it. █
█ - Switch back to the Powergold License window. The cursor must be █
█ inside of 'Renewal number field. TYPE in your renewal number and █
█ press OK. If you notice that 'Read this number' field content has █
█ changed and differs from the one you use when generating Renewal █
█ number - then you have done something wrong and you need to repeat █
█ Licensing Data Directories step EXACTLY as it's explained here. █
█ █
█ Enjoy =) █
