Designed for both mapping production and visualization, Bentley
Descartes is used worldwide by engineers and planners in many
disciplines, such as civil engineering, plant design, mapping
and architectural design.
Bentley Descartes adds high-performance raster operations
to MicroStation, allowing warp, reference, resample, mosaic
creation, reprojection and 3D terrain draping to produce
outstanding image scenes. Additionally, Bentley Descartes provides
tools such as an integrated Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and
Line Following engines, plus several tools to enhance and repair
legacy drawings. Because Bentley Descartes is tightly integrated
into MicroStation, it can be customized to integrate in workflows
where automation and interface modification is required.

aficionados together for the purpose of sharing knowledge and
resources. We will always strive to do whatever we can to make
sure that resources and knowledge reach the inexperienced and
