In this version of Nibbles, created by Redwood High School
students, you (the snake) have to move around the playing field trying
to eat the food that appears. For each piece of food you eat, you earn
points and your snake body gets longer. The faster you move, the more
points you earn. If you run into any of the walls, obstacles, or your
own snake body, the game ends. Higher levels and the two player options
contain other obstacles and interesting features that make the game
more challenging. (See screenshot.) Version . adds
solid (smooth) snake, two additional snake speeds, improved point
scoring, enhanced banner and logo graphics, and the ability to save the
highest level reached.
Note: This shareware version offers full
access to levels and . The higher levels (currently through ) and
the two player options can be obtained by paying the $15 registration
price and submitting name and -mail address. The user will then be
mailed software code to enter into the program to unlock the higher
levels. All proceeds benefit the Computer Department at Redwood High
