█▓ WinCommodore 64 is a Commodore C64 emulator for Microsoft ⌐ Windows ▓█
█▓ 98SE, 2000 and XP. The program recreates the original machines ▓█
█▓ hardware in software and can then 'run' the programs written for the ▓█
█▓ original machine. The process of emulating the original C64 is quite ▓█
█▓ complex and requires a lot of processing time and computations to ▓█
█▓ perform. Although the original machine ran at a seemingly low 1MHz, ▓█
█▓ the process of emulation requires nearly 300 times that speed. ▓█
█▓ Remember that we are recreating the electrical pathways between ▓█
█▓ different electronic circuits using only software, and performing all ▓█
█▓ of the tasks that the original hardware was designed to do directly. ▓█
