You will find seven files here:
1. Goldd.zip (this is The Mechanic Gold for DOS, 95 and 98)
2. HDMNt.zip (this is The Mechanic Gold for NT 4.0 Not NTFS)
3. HDM2000.zip (this is The Mechanic Gold for XP, 2000 and 2000 NTFS)
4. GoldManual.pdf (This is the manual for The Mechanic Gold)
5. NtManual.pdf (This is the manual for The Mechanic NT)
6. 2000 manual.pdf (This is the manual for 2000 and 2000 NTFS and it is backwards.
Print out the manual and start with the last page)
7. unformat.pdf (This is the manual for unformatting your hard drive)
You do not have to unzip all files,
simply choose the one you need and unzip program
onto its own diskette Please be sure you do not copy the file,
it must be unzipped in order to work.
Additionally, you must print out the PDF manual that you need.
For all versions of the Mechanic you require a Windows 98 boot disk (Not 95, NT, XP or ME).
If you do not have a Windows 98 boot disk, you can download one at http://www.bootdisk.com.
*** You must remove autoexec.bat and config.sys from the boot disk.
Additionally, you will need a DOS mouse driver ONLY for the 2000 version for the Mechanic.
