What is it: Freeware that needed some "fixing".
This is a pretty neat archive expander. It's the Windows
port of the Macintosh STUFFIT expander. It doesn't compress
files, it just unpacks archives including ZIP, ARC, ARJ,
GZIP, Base64/MIME, UUEncoded, BinHex, and some Personal
Encrypted files. The thing that makes this utility unique
is that the interface consists of only a small drop box
onto which you drag and drop any number of archives at the
same time. It will then unpack and/or decode each archive
into it's own new folder. The folders each bear the name
of the archive (minus the extension). And Long File Names
are fully supported. It will optionally also decompress
any supported archives that it finds while doing it's
unpacking. So, for example, if you fed it a ZIP file that
contained an ARJ file, it would expand the ZIP and then
expand the ARJ, all in one operation. Too bad it doesn't
support RAR.
