SocksCap - Version 2.3 (2.3-020723) crack
=========================================

by testing999

Version 2.3 (2.3-020723)
========================

- Added handling to restore system tray icon if the desktop crashes
and comes back up. This handling should work under Windows 98, 2000,
and XP.

- Moved user configuration settings and application profiles under
Permeo Technologies in the registry. Added handling to copy settings
from the previous NEC USA location if they exist.

Version 2.2 (2.2-011016)
========================

- Cosmetic changes to update company name to Permeo Technologies from
NEC USA.

- Version refresh.

Version 2.1 (2.1-010327)
========================
- First non-beta v.2 release.

Version 2, Beta 6 (2.00.66-000927)
==================================
- Fixed system tray option in Windows 98.

- Documentation updates.

Version 2, Beta 5 (2.00.63-000415)
==================================
- Workaround for tooltip bug in Windows 98. This should help those
that reported applications that disappear when running over a control
that should display a tooltip.

- Documentation updates including Windows 2000 information.

Version 2, Beta 4 (2.00.60-991230)
==================================
- When dropping a shortcut into the GUI to create an application
profile, the name of the shortcut will be the default name for the
profile.

- Allow launcher to send additional error information back to calling
application in the case that the calling application is opening
secondary applications.

- Modified command line parsing yet again.

- Updated cleanup code in function hooking and improved hooking of
system functions in dynamically loaded libraries.

- Improved some thread synchronization.

Version 2, Beta 3 (2.00.43-990716)
==================================
- On Windows 95/98 current process list wouldn't clear out processes
for applications that were terminated abnormally. This is now fixed.

- User is now prompted for username/password on startup if configured
for username/password and application started from command line or
shortcut.

- Control window's initial placement no longer crawls if desktop's
task bar is docked on the left or top of the desktop.

- On Windows 95 with Winsock 1.1, if application requests version 2.x,
instead of returning WSAVERNOTSUPPORTED, it will try to negotiate the
highest common version.

- Modified behavior to operate with Windows 2000 Beta 3 Build 2031
(prior builds operated OK with SocksCap32).

- Added check so that in an application calls WinExec or CreateProcess
with an empty command argument, it will no be passed on to the
SocksCap32 launcher.

- Expanded use of direct application list so that users can configure
to bypass the SocksCap32 launcher when applications pass modules other
than .exe to CreateProcess.

Version 2, Beta 2 (2.00.24-990301)
==================================
- Fixed handling of applications' command line arguments that was
broken in Beta 1. The behavior is now again as it was in version
1.x.

- Added experimental view of applications currently running under
Sockscap32 control. This is intended to be just an informational
feature. It may or may not be included in a final release.

- Minor code clean up.

Version 2, Beta 1 (2.00.17-990210)
==================================
- Many changes in GUI including
	Toolbar replaced static buttons
	Property pages for settings
	Accept shortcut (.lnk) files dropped onto GUI
	Capability to drag shortcuts from GUI to desktop
	System tray menu for launching applications without having
		to always use up desktop space for control window.

- Now uses registry for settings rather than .INI file. Converts old
.INI to new registry settings the first time SC32 is run.

- Export and import of settings to allow transfer or back up of
settings.

- Fixed path parsing trouble that was seen on some NT4.0 systems in
which paths containing spaces were sometimes misinterpretted.

- Removed redundant FD_CONNECT that could be posted and may break some
applications especially under NT4.0.

- Changed detection of Winsock2 under Windows 95 so that it can better
detect incomplete installation of Winsock2.

- Fixed library unloading bug that affected some applications when
they were in the process of closing.

v. sc32-1.03-980210
===================
- Reformatted log messages a bit to make them easier to trace a
particular socket's activities.

- Fixed a buffer read error for UDP recvfrom which could cause some
UDP applications to die.

- Fixed UDP recv buffer size problem when an application requests to
increase the maximum size through the SO_RECV option of setsockopt().

- Some applications had problems when they would expect a Dll to be
freed but Socks32.Dll still kept it loaded into the application's
process space. Changes in the way LoadLibrary() and FreeLibrary() are
handled by SocksCap32 should take care of that now.

- Added code to close a remote listening socket if SocksCap realizes
that it made a previous incorrect guess on TCP bind(). This fixes
some ftp clients that use PASV and locally bind their data socket
before connecting.

- Added code to close proxy association on a UDP socket if SocksCap
realizes that it made a previous incorrect guess about UDP bind().

- Under Windows 95, if an application run through SocksCap32 exited
abnormally, the associated Sc32Lnch process might have been left
running and would never exit. Modified Sc32Lnch to handle that type
of exception.

v. sc32-1.02-971011
===================
- Under Windows95, fixed trouble deciding which Winsock to use as the
default when both wsock32.dll and some version of ws2_32.dll are
present.

- Corrected problem grabbing socket calls when socket drivers are
loaded via OLE.

- Now allow alpha host names and domains in the direct connection
list. For a host name, use "host.domain.name". For a domain, use
".domain.name" (leading period is important). Of course, this is only
of use if your client machine can resolve all hostnames before sending
the requests off to the Socks server.

- Attempt to make hostent struct used by a client application's
gethostbyname() and gethostbyaddr() safe from changes by library's
internal use of the struct.

v. sc32-1.01-970902
===================
- Fixed bug that could cause some applications to get invalid data if
they did a getsockname() on a socket that had an established direct
connection.

- Fixed minor bug in GUI handling of direct connection additions.

- Minor GUI touchups.

v. sc32-1.00-970616
===================
- Version 1.0 released.
