1.0 Dir Prudence Features
--------------------------------------------------------------
Dir Prudence is a Win32 GUI file comparison utility. It
compares the files and directories in one path with the files
and directories in another path. The comparison may be between
directories or individual files.
It is primarily intended for confirming the accuracy of
backups. The backups may be on any directory of any volume,
on a local computer or on a network.
Dir Prudence supports command line parameters. This enables
Dir Prudence to be run from a batch file or a Windows shortcut
with predetermined settings. Using an appropriate scheduling
program, Dir Prudence may even be run unattended, and it can
be configured to shut itself down when finished.
Dir Prudence does not modify the Windows Registry, nor does it
place any files in the system directories.
Dir Prudence does not require large amounts of memory.
Dir Prudence supports Windows long file names and UNC paths.
Dir Prudence supports OLE Drag and Drop, so drives, directories
and files can be dragged from Windows Explorer or the Windows
Desktop into Dir Prudence.
Minimum Requirements:
Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 or later.
