The ANSYS Workbench Environment is a new-generation solution
from ANSYS that provides powerful methods for interacting with
the ANSYS solver functionality. This environment provides a
unique integration with CAD systems, and your design process,
that enables greater realization of CAE benefits than ever
before.
ANSYS began the development of the Workbench Environment with
the objective of greatly enhancing the productivity of you, the
user. We introduced this new environment to our DesignSpace user
community with the 6.0 release last year. And now, with this
release, we are making this capability available from all ANSYS
products. Regardless of the type of ANSYS product utilizing the
Workbench technology, here's some of the benefits that you will
see in this environment:
CAD Associativity and Bi-Directional Associativity
Workbench Environment uses a unique Plug-In architecture to
maintain associativity with the CAD systems for solid and
surface models, allowing you to make design changes to your CAD
model without having to reapply any of the loads and or
supports. Bi-directional associativity in Workbench Environment
advances your productivity one step further by providing control
of your key CAD model parameter in the Workbench Environment
parameter manager. With feature, you can create simulations with
multiple CAD models and Workbench Environment will automatically
update the geometry for each simulation situation.
Parametric Simulation
Parameters were introduced in CAD systems about 10 years ago and
quickly proved that parameterized modeling offered numerous
timesaving benefits. Using parameters, many design alterations
can be accomplished by simply changing the value of the
parameter. The software then automatically updates the model's
geometry. However, simulation packages traditionally have never
offered this same feature to users.
The ANSYS Workbench Environment introduces the ability to
control both simulation parameters - such as material
properties, force direction, and temperature - as well as CAD
parameters. This innovation gives the ANSYS Workbench
Environment true bi-directional associativity with many leading
CAD packages. Multiple design criteria can be easily entered
using the interactive Parameter Manager table. With one click of
your mouse, parameters are automatically processed back through
your CAD package, where the model automatically regenerates.
Once regenerated, the altered model(s) are seamlessly processed
back through the ANSYS Workbench Environment, where a new series
of solutions is generated.

Install, and unpack the content of 'keygen.rar' to a place of your
choice, doesn't matter where, the wizard will point to it later.
1) Goto x:\program files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\intel
2) Run WinHostID.exe, output will be like this:
* HOSTNAME: LineZero
* FLEXID: 00xxxxxxxxxx
* IDTYPE: E
* PLATFORM: Intel
* OS: Windows 2000 (x86)
* OPTIONS: None
3) Open license.tmp in notepad, where you unpacked the
keygen archive
4) Replace: SERVER linezer0 000000000000 1055 with SERVER
your-host-name, the zeros, replace with your flexid
(all 12 chars!)
5) SAVE! License.tmp. Now run ReCrypt.bat, you will get a
license.dat created.
6) Run anslic_admin.exe, Select "Run license wizard.."
STEP 1:
* Select YES
* Then select option "Load information from existing.."
* Point to your newly created license.dat!
STEP 2:
* Select YES
* Select yourhost@1050
STEP 3:
Select YES
And you are done, Enjoy this fine release from Lz0!
WARNING: Do NOT run ANSYS at a date BEFORE 20-may-2003. After
licensing is installed, do NOT turn your PC clock back
& forth, this will make ANSYS fail, you will in that
case see an error like "PC Clock turned back, error
(xx,xxx)".. So dont!
