▄▓█ wish to translate FORTRAN to C. It was developed for 'one ▄▓█
▄▓█ time' translations of debugged and running FORTRAN, hence, ▄▓█
▄▓█ emphasis is on readable and maintainable C translation. It ▄▓█
▄▓█ can also be used for maintaining both FORTRAN and C. You ▄▓█
▄▓█ should have a good working knowledge of both languages. ▄▓█

▄▓█ The package runs under the Win95/98/NT, UNIX, and VAX VMS ▄▓█
▄▓█ operating systems as a console application. Your source ▄▓█
▄▓█ should be standard FORTRAN-77, although a number of common ▄▓█
▄▓█ extensions are supported, along with MILSPEC and selected ▄▓█
▄▓█ Fortran-90 extensions. Your C compiler should be ANSI C or ▄▓█
▄▓█ System V compatible under UNIX. The runtime library makes ▄▓█
▄▓█ calls to standard ANSI C library functions, or System V C ▄▓█
▄▓█ library functions if running on UNIX. ▄▓█

▄▓█ Translator is similar to compilers in design and function. ▄▓█
▄▓█ As such, it requires the input source code syntax to agree ▄▓█

▄▓█ changes to your input source to satisfy translator syntax. ▄▓█

▄▓█ whenever possible (similar to the original coding).Literal ▄▓█
▄▓█ translations are generated by default, there are options ▄▓█

▄▓█ are also made to reflect the C programming style and ease ▄▓█
▄▓█ of maintenance.When the translation of a FORTRAN statement ▄▓█
▄▓█ requires a function be generated, standard C library calls ▄▓█
▄▓█ are made whenever possible, to maximize the portability of ▄▓█
